First Visit

 At Dr. Balut’s office, we wish to make your smile healthy and beautiful!  The fist step in this process is a consultation and an examination of your teeth and face, during which Dr. Balut will get a first impression of the position of your teeth and jaws in regards to your face.  If he considers you need treatment, you will need another visit to get the records needed to proceed to make the diagnosis.  These records are taken at a specialized laboratory, and they include radiographs, photographs of your teeth as well as of your face and profile, together with a set of plaster models.  With all this in hand, Dr. Balut will carry out a diagnosis of the case and proceed to plan you treatment.  You must then visit Dr. Balut again and he will explain the main concerns in your case, and will discuss thoroughly the treatment plan with you.  During that same visit, treatment may start with some appliances and giving you indications as how to clean your teeth during treatment and what foods you will be able to eat and basically how to take care of your braces.

All throughout the treatment, you will receive information about every procedure; because we want you to understand exactly how you are being treated and which are your options so that you may feel very relaxed and at ease while you are in our office.

Besides improving your oral health, the Orthodontic treatment will give you more confidence in your healthy and pretty smile that you will show for the rest of your life.
